Raymond Wu

Structural Engineer
Auckland

MEngSt (Civil) BE Civil BISC Dip Civil Eng (China) CPEng CMEngNZ IntPE (NZ)

Raymond joined the EDC team in 2005 as a highly-qualified structural engineer with extensive experience in large-scale projects in China and a bachelor degree in civil engineering of University of Auckland. In 2007, he completed his master’s degree in Engineering Studies in University of Auckland after combining his EDC role with part-time study for two years.

Raymond has extensive technology skills, particularly in the use of SAP2000/Microstran, 2D and 3D structural analysis software used in the design of a wide variety of steel and concrete framed structures. Raymond has been involved in IEP and DEE Assessments to a nationwide range projects. This has included physical assessment of buildings and completion of IEP and DEE calculations and seismic strengthening design assessments.

In recent years Raymond has been working as a Senior Structural Engineer, including on large community housing development projects.
