EDC Christchurch Welcomes Nuno Narciso

The increasing infrastructures demand in Christchurch is requiring the structural division to grow.  Our latest addition to the team is Nuno Narciso, originally from Lisbon/Portugal he loves to travel and enjoys playing football, snowboarding and surfing. Nuno completed his masters in structural design in 2008 incorporating one year of investigation on the strengthening of columns using carbon reinforced polymers and post-tension cables for seismic actions resulting in tests at a shaking table. His studies and interest in the seismic behaviour of buildings have brought him across the world into the dynamic life of Christchurch.

Nuno has come on-board bringing with him 8 years of experience in the design of low to high rise buildings, stadium, bridges and other structures such as retaining walls. Nuno has also 2 years of local Christchurch experience in the assessment and strengthening of existing buildings following the 2010/2011 earthquake sequence and is currently vice-chair of Engenerate, a local engineering group for young engineers.

Being a very communicative and work-driven person we are very happy to have Nuno on the Christchurch office.
