Having enlisted EDC’s multi-discipline engineering experience previously, this customer was confident EDC could handle the challenging engineering required to realise his cliff top dream home.

EDC’s geotech slope stability analysis allowed EDC’s Geotech, Civil and Structural teams to design the substantial retaining, including 8.5m deep barrier piles supporting the 3-4m segmental block wall and pool. The Civil and Structural teams collectively managed a detailed submission to divert an existing sewer and install a private stormwater detention and reticulation outfall into the cliff. Key design included: suspended concrete slabs, pool and an impressive 3 level internal steel and glass curtain feature.

By working collaboratively across all key engineering disciplines, EDC provided a cost effective and streamline solution to this inspired cliff top home.
