This site was thought to have been contaminated by previous landfill activities from an adjacent property and the demolition waste was likely to include asbestos.  Work on site was stopped until contamination risks were quantified.

EDC are recognised by ECan as suitably qualified to undertake contaminated land investigations under their Suitably Qualified and Experienced Practitioner (SQEP) list, which saved the client time and cost in terms of demonstrating EDC’s suitability for the work.

We were able to provide a fast response to assess the site, collect soil & water samples for testing, and liaise with the Local and Territorial Council staff to get the project moving again in a short period.
